Zuo Fu and You Bi are the warmest stars in Zi Wei Dou Shu. They rule neither wealth nor power — only one thing: help. People with either in the Life Palace always find a hand when stuck; not because of luck, but because others naturally want to help them.
Zuo Fu is Yang Earth, You Bi is Yin Water (some say Yin Fire), and they always meet in triple combination. They are the Zi Wei emperor’s hands: Zuo Fu is visible help (open support), You Bi is hidden help (someone quietly covering for you). They are key to reading whether you have support.
Core Meaning
They rule assistance and tolerance. People with these stars are usually warm, easy to work with, and team-oriented. You’re not a lone wolf; you function best in groups.
Zuo Fu is open help — public support, resources, advocacy. You Bi is hidden help — quiet backup, filling gaps, paving roads you don’t see. Having both is best.
They differ from Kui/Yue: those are benefactor stars for key moments with important people; Fu/Bi are daily assistance and cooperation. Kui/Yue are points; Fu/Bi are lines.

Zi Wei in Life with Fu/Bi in triple combination greatly boosts leadership and followership. In the same palace it’s most direct; in opposition or triple it still counts.
Zi Wei in Life with no Fu/Bi or Kui/Yue is a lonely ruler — ambition without help; you must actively seek partners.
Neither Good Nor Bad on Their Own
They are neutral-to-auspicious and never transform to Lu/Quan/Ke/Ji. They amplify the stars they share a palace with — auspicious stars become more auspicious; malefics become more harmful.
