Wen Chang is Yang Metal, ruling formal scholarship, exams, documents, and credentials. Wen Qu is Yin Water, ruling eloquence, art, and unconventional talent. They always meet in triple combination and are key to reading learning ability and talent.
The Difference
Wen Chang is the formal literary star — good exam luck, suited to the degree path, connected to certificates and documents. Suits scholars, editors, civil servants, copywriters.
Wen Qu is the unconventional literary star — eloquence, quick wit, artistic gift, not necessarily highly educated but definitely smart. Suits hosting, sales, acting, music.
Both together is best — formal learning plus street smarts. Only Wen Chang can be bookish; only Wen Qu can be clever but misdirected.
