After a Bad Exam, Separate a Child's Needs from Parental Anxiety

Use the Children and Parents Palaces as separate questions.

After a disappointing test, a parent may feel more anxious than the child. The Children Palace frames the student's needs; the Parents Palace frames adult expectations and support. One student needs timing practice, another missed classes while ill. Review the paper, teacher feedback, and circumstances before changing the study plan.

A lower score may come from timing, missed lessons, or a changed grading rule. Ask which one applies before adding pressure or buying more tutoring.
