Is Wen Qu a physical star in a Zi Wei Dou Shu birth chart?

Zi Wei Dou Shu uses inherited star names in a symbolic placement system. Its chart cells are not a map of the sky at the moment of birth.

Wen Qu in a Zi Wei Dou Shu palace is a symbol placed by chart rules. It is not ordinarily a statement about a visible star's position above your birthplace that night.

Shared names do not make identical systems

Traditional astronomy, popular religious traditions and Zi Wei Dou Shu reuse some names for different purposes. A physical star's distance or brightness does not establish the meaning assigned to a birth-chart palace.

Likewise, the chart's strength classifications are not measurements of cloud cover or light pollution. A cloudy birth night does not weaken a chart symbol.

The Life, Spouse and Career Palaces organize topics within the tradition; they are not twelve telescope views. A hypothetical Wen Qu in Career therefore describes an internal chart relationship, not a celestial object above someone's career.

Study the placement method on its own terms. Borrowed astronomical names do not demonstrate scientifically verified effects on a person's life.
