You and a friend were born in the same year. Both charts show Tian Ji with Hua Lu, but yours places it in the Wealth Palace and your friend's in the Spouse Palace. That can be a perfectly consistent result.
A transformation belongs to a star first
In a common transformation table, the Yi birth-year stem assigns Lu to Tian Ji, Quan to Tian Liang, Ke to Zi Wei and Ji to Tai Yin. It does not assign Lu directly to everyone's Wealth Palace.
Consider two hypothetical charts. If Tian Ji occupies different palaces, its Lu label appears in those different places. This explains the calculation; it does not promise wealth to one person or a wealthy partner to the other.
A position and a palace name are different labels
Two charts might even place Tian Ji at the same earthly-branch position while giving that position different palace names. The branch identifies a location; the palace name identifies the life area being discussed.
Compare the star, its palace and the surrounding relationships before comparing interpretations. Identical labels still do not imply identical lives.
If the transformed stars themselves differ, check the birth-year boundary, transformation table and selected timing layer. One screen may be showing annual transformations while the other shows natal ones. Ask about the exact difference instead of treating one isolated Lu symbol as a score.
