If your Life Palace is at Chen and displays a Lu label, that does not automatically mean Lu Cun sits there. The common placement table never assigns Lu Cun to Chen, Xu, Chou or Wei. Hua Lu, a transformation attached to another star, can appear at those positions.

Lu Cun is a separately placed star. Hua Lu describes a transformation of a named star. In a hypothetical Chen palace, a main star carrying natal Hua Lu should be recorded with that star's name and the natal timing layer.
An annual display adds another ambiguity: people sometimes shorten both annual Lu Cun and annual Hua Lu to “annual Lu.” The abbreviation cannot tell you which one the chart means.
A placement restriction is not a wealth verdict
Someone whose Wealth Palace occupies one of those four positions still has a full palace to interpret. Main stars, transformations and related palaces remain relevant within the tradition.
When a description says “Lu Cun at Chen,” check whether it means residence, an aspect from elsewhere or a mislabeled transformation. Keep the full label when asking about it.
