The starting point stays put
The sequence proceeds forward or backward according to the applicable rule, but its first label remains at the starting cell. If Lu Cun is at Wu in a hypothetical chart, the corresponding Boshi begins at Wu too.
If another Boshi appears elsewhere, check timing layers before declaring an error. A natal placement and an annual overlay are different items.
Related labels are not independent evidence
An interpreter may discuss their traditional meanings separately. Yet Boshi's derived position cannot independently confirm Lu Cun's position and double confidence in a prediction.
This matters when a reading counts numerous connected placement rules as separate confirmations. For an actual education or appointment question, retain the year, main stars and palace context. A fixed pair of labels neither counts opportunities nor establishes academic qualifications.
