In Zi Wei Dou Shu, liunian means the annual cycle used to examine one specific year. Huo Xing, or Mars, tends to make events immediate and visible, while Ling Xing, or Bell Star, can describe pressure that builds before it surfaces. Their appearance in an annual chart does not predict a crisis. It suggests that the palace they activate may move faster than usual, so scope, authority, timing, and available support matter more than speed alone.
Speed works best inside clear limits
Start by naming the annual palace and the real decision attached to it. Huo Xing may favor prompt action when the task is defined, one person has authority, and money or exposure has a firm ceiling. Ling Xing may show that a delayed issue is finally ready for discussion or repair. If the natal chart and ten-year cycle support the same palace, a short, focused push may be useful. If those layers are weak or contradictory, reducing the scope is usually more sensible than forcing a result from one annual signal.
Two combinations show different choices
- If annual Huo Xing enters the Property Palace and Hua Quan supports decision-making, a planned repair, renovation, or equipment replacement may move efficiently when permits, electrical safety, contractor responsibility, and a contingency budget are settled. If Hua Ji also pressures the Wealth Palace, the safer use of the timing is to finish the essential repair without adding an optional expansion.
- If annual Ling Xing enters the Travel Palace with Tian Ma, schedules, trips, or a possible move may change after a long period of discussion. Hua Ke can support documents, applications, and orderly planning. If the opposite Life Palace lacks support, the person may benefit from staging the transition instead of combining relocation, a new job, and a major financial commitment at once.
Read the whole axis before acting
Every annual palace has an opposite palace, and the two ends describe one working axis. A property deadline can affect Children or project responsibilities; a Travel activation presses directly on Life and personal capacity. The supporting triad shows whether people, money, or institutional structure can carry the faster pace. This keeps the reading conditional: the stars identify where containment is valuable, while real budgets, contracts, health, and safety procedures determine what action is appropriate.
Chart-reading order
First locate Huo Xing or Ling Xing in the annual chart and name the palace topic. Next read the opposite palace and the two supporting palaces in its triad. Check Hua Quan for directed responsibility, Hua Ke for documentation or expertise, Hua Ji for a bottleneck, and the Wealth Palace for financial margin. Compare the annual layer with the natal chart and ten-year cycle. Act quickly only when the objective, decision owner, limit, and fallback are clear; otherwise prepare, narrow the task, or wait for better support.
